Pujya Bapuji`s Message on the Festival of Holi
Holi is Celebrated in an exhilariting way by Bapuji at Surat Ashram every year. Enoromous number of Sadhaks come to Surat attend ashram to get colored in the Divine color of love by Bapuji.
Holi is not merely a festival of burning aheap of dung-cakes and wood. Rather , it is a pious day for removing one`s psychological weaknesses and burning the evil desires.
From this day , we should throw out our evil desires and cultivate in our life the divine virtues of love for God , goodwill , sympathy , faith in the chosen Divinity , fearlessness , steadfast adherence to dharma , etc.
We should invoke in our lives the virtues of the great devotee – Prahlada , viz a firm belief in God , tolerance , forgiveness , love for the Lord , compassion , benevolence , non-violence , etc.
The colours of Holi , colour only the body . You should colour your heart with the divine love . Holi is the festival nature: it is the celebration of Spring: it is a pious observance of the tradition of offering newly harvested grains to the Lord before using the same One should stop taking dates from this day onwards
Holi is festival of burning down our vices , addictions and evil tendencies and of imbibing virtues. Holi is a life giving drug that rejuvenates our sadhana . It spreads the message of love in society . Take constant care not to insult , slander or harm anybody by your impertinence or arrogance . Guard against circumstances that tend to colour you with the poisonous hue of addictions . You should rather colour yourself only with the colur of devotion to God …of Self-bliss , in which the Lord and His beloved saints abide…and colour yourself so fast that the colour should never fade away…
Holi Satsang & Bhajan
Bapuji says " People use harmful chemicals to play holi these days and some with bad intentions, if we ask them to stop it, they won't, but if we give them the taste of real love and real holi, they will automatically forget their old bad way of celebrating holi."
It is very harmful to play Holi with poisonous and chemical colours . It is beneficial to play Holi with colours prepared from Palash flowers. This keeps the seven colours and dhatus of the body in equilibrium , protects the skin and increases the body`s resistance power against heatHoli is celebrated by making with color made from with trucks full of Palash Flowers, which is very good for the body in that time as the season is changing and summer is begining. Lot of people have devine experiences during thier holi celebration with Bapuji, many have witnessed getting rid of diseases,etc.Bapuji also asks the Surat Samithi to prepare "Panch Gavya" for all the devotes. Bapuji says there is no diseases that panch gavya cannot cure or making a positive effect on.
The Black color used for playing Holi contains the chemical "Lead Oxide", which weakens the kidney and leads to kidney diseases.
Similarly, the Green color contains "Copper Sulphate", which leads to swelling and burning sensation in the eyes and also causes temporary blindness.
Silver color contains "Aluminium Bromide", which gives rise to the cancer disease.
The Blue color contains the chemical "Prussian Blue", which leads to skin diseases.
The Red color contains the chemical "Mercuric Sulphide", which increases the risk of skin cancer.
